Instructor Aisyah: in addition to what i wrote to you already, i think you are very encouraging and you are always telling us not to give up. especially during the tarzan activity. we took so long to retrieve the rope(which in the end we didn't) and yet you kept telling us to try and try again, even though it was plain we were out of ideas! so i thank you plenty much for that.and for praising us! i think you realise how much praise means to us! hearing good things from people who are of higher authority is like receiving some kind of oscar award to me. oh and you helped us with our cheer that day. mymy, i've never seen anything that bimbo in my life! but it's funny, and cool too. it shows a somehow hidden side of echo i believe. priya and suka always doing that kinda thing in the student lounge! and yes, i love you loads for everything, more than you'll ever know.
Instructor Alicia: Now, I would like you to ignore what i wrote in the letter if possible, cos now i realise it must be prety confusing. ok what i want to say is you are HILARIOUS. like, everything you do is super funny, and echo discusses them often enough. yea. that day in the student lounge. i missed what happened after i went for cca, but i want to tell you i enjoyed every single second of the session b4 i left. question 35. *nudge nudge* hope you haven't forgotten it yet. oh yes, i want to thank you especially for daring(?) zhi hui and I to do abseiling blindfolded! it didn't go well though. haha. i was knocking on the wall all the way and i suffered quite terrible rope burns, though i didn't tell anyone. how do you even do it so easily? oh yes you are even more hilarious when it comes to playing with soft toys! stuffing the rabbit in the frog and balloons into my poor hippo:) what on earth. haha apples are my favourite. so yes i love you loads for everything, more than you'll ever know.
Instructor Nasuha: I think you have been very approving of us, and you are seriously like a mother to us, if not some kind of nice elder sister. you have a great sense of humour too, in some kind of quiet and serene way. some of your comments have really tickled me, though i can't remember which ones. and i have to thank you again for the help you showed to me on the second day. i felt that you were genuinely caring about me, compared to, ahem, they who must not be named, so i'll leave you to guess. yes and as our 1st/I i think you've done a great job. if anything you are most capable of coming up with speeches that make us cry. yea, that tone of voice and the diction. and the fact that you are leaving the OAL board, why, that's the saddest piece of news i've heard since the sinking of the titanic! but of course, like suka always says, you must be 'true to your heart'! and yes i love you loads for everything, more than you'll ever know.
Instructor Shu Yi: I must tell you that the saying 人不可貌相 rang a bell quite loudly when i knew you were a instructor. yes, you are always so(what's the word) in cca that i never thought..so you get the point. and yes, you have helped us grow a lot throughout the coals journey. we will always thank you for that. but i find most intruiging is that you are always the one to push us on. what you say always make us set on doing better. i feel that you are the most serious among our four instructors, and somehow that makes us always wanting to do better, because you push drill shove throw and whatever you call it the important things into our heads. yes, so i am very grateful for all you have done for us. i love you loads for everything, more than you'll ever know.
you know, echo, i somehow listened to old songs recently, and a lot of them rung true to me, after this camp. suka, you made the song 'true to your heart' more special to me, and erm, i confess i listen to movie soundstracks, and so many of the piratesOTC soundtracks made me think of the adventures we went through together. the song in charlie and the chocolate factory, violet chewing chewing all day long suddenly made me think of the apples. hmm. 'apologize' still strikes me as the most suitable song for the forfeits. and 'when you believe' from prince of egypt also rang something cos i started singing it on the bus back to school and unknowingly quite a number of people joined in. and i'm sure 'doing that thing you do' is the most familiar song to us now!
