hey echo, can you see that i'm obviously missing you guys?
oh my . i dint expect this post to be SO DRAGGY, scroll down and brace yourself before reading through every word if you want to ! i went through almost every item of the camp,
sorry i really missed the whole camp ! hees .
to be honest, i was actually dreading coals camp on the day before it started.
all the packing, rushing and everything.
our campfire item wasnt exactly prepared enough for pre-campfire night,
we didnt have an opening cheer, we didnt have our soundtrack in a disc that night (i was really panicking already and most dint reply me )
our flag couldnt stand well, i was so tired, and i knew we werent gonna have an easy time during the camp.
meeting in the early morning, rushing to tag our shirts , rushing here and there, it still went well anyway (:
first up, rock wall, zipline, abseiling, initiative games !
at least we werent off to a boring start (:
even though we were jumbled up, we still got to see each other here and there, it was still weird luh, not being with echo . hope all of you had fun too , i totally did, ZIPLINE !
half the day passed without echo, it was slightly weird getting together again for like half an hour, then it was all normal again :D hees .
then then ! shower, dinner, reflections, it was still like an introduction to the camp .
an introduction in showering under a minute, an introduction to push food down your gullet (actly this was done during lunch luh but still (: )
mmhmm .
one thing i'll miss is our lovely instructors sitting down during debriefs , forgetting what they wanted to say and just staring back at us, errrrrrr-ing and giving that smile and instructor alicia keeping apples in her pouch !
our campfire performance ! i dont know if it's me only or what, i was nervous !
nervous until the part where we sang you're not alone, it calmed me .
i dont know about the other pairs, but me and zhihui tangled up during the dance and got stuck !
i was panicking and forgot some moves too !
i was like ahhhhhhing!
i think we were pretty soft, but WE STILL ROCKED OKAY !
we pulled it off, it doesnt matter if others dont understand our story or whatever whatever,
we were performing for ECHO , from ECHO , as one :D
oh oh during the nightwalk was anyone pulled away or what ?
i dont think so right? we stuck so close to each other (:
cos i heard from some other groups that they were pried away or something x)
i think for supper we were hilarious !
"everyone, y'all can only eat one piece of bread. "
then when they spreaded the jam, it was like only 1/2 of this paragraph !
the bread tasted like plain bread. 3 scoops of milo, 1 cup for 9 people to drink , i think water tasted better!
and i think we really learnt how to appreciate our instructors, who have done so much for us, after wake up call from leader yvonne .
ohoh did you know during sentry duty, there were SO MANY STARS ! i'd never seen so many before okay ! and we saw a frog ! hehe . you guys are so gonna smash me cos i went for sentry duty ! teehees !
outdoor cooking was a success, our food tasted nice and we finished the fastest !
pasta sauce it was a miracle we could borrow from falcon!
good job! :D
HIGH ELEMENTS WAS THE HIGHLIGHT! (to me , and other than campfire!)
it was so fun !
and to the people with a fear of heights, it was really a challenge, but really really WELL DONE !
who cares bout how long you took , arent you proud you accomplished the stations !
echo totally rocks right !

i think none of us could have done it without encouragement from the rest of the team, it really meant A LOT when you're up there all alone with a rope which you're not actually allowed to grab!
campfire rocked !
we came up with our opening cheer,
hahahah the bimbo win or lose was slightly weird cos we paused at every line !

campfire was really fun with you guys around , and the everyone who participated in coals .
i really didnt want campfire to end , it would mark the end of all the activities in the coals camp.
i couldnt believe how i dreaded the camp !
when it ended, it meant that coals camp was gonna end soon , and so much sooner than we expected.
after the first night , we were all like " oh my g , only one day has passed , we still have another day to go through! "
on the second night, it was like " my g, it's ENDING ! so fast for what !"
we got like emo and cried,
i think ECHO is the emoest of all the group !
after that going back to the dorm where someone suggested telling like everything we felt , the good and bad points of each other and the times we all shared together.
and nothing could make priya and darshana cry !
OH YEAH , I DREAMT PRIYA CRIED !
and i was like oh priya is CRYING !?!
hahahha ! then emo somemore on the last day , while all the other groups were getting high !
we sang linger a million times , super emo !
i tried getting y'all high but then y'all stared at me .. hees .
you guys know that we will be having a thousand and one echo meetings even after coals, RIGHT ?!
it's just goodnight and NOT GOODBYE (:

i really enjoyed the camp, superbly much !
even though it was really tiring , (ESPECIALLY WILDERNESS!)
it was really great having a wonderful group always with me ,
encouraging each other, going through every thing together.
a huge thank you to everyone from echo, who made this whole journey so enjoyable for me (:

you were really the super on one , you dont mind getting dirty and all ,
suggesting wonderful ideas that made sense, encouraged us ,
and one thing that you really taught me was to accept others, to help them out,
to give them confidence because you know what they can become.

you were really quiet in the beginning , almost always hiding in the shadows,
we picked you to be the lead of our campfire item because we knew that you had the potential in you .
your voice was soft, we were not scolding you when we kept repeating that you had to project your voice, we wanted you to speak up , louder and with confidence, we believed in you .
and during the performance, you did it ! you did really well (:

princess ah, the bed wasnt that bad ! i think it was because you missed the scoldings on the first day about urgency and all, i got the idea that you thought we were ridiculous for rushing the group through everything and i dont know if you were pissed with me cos i was the main rusher, and sorry if i offended you, but we just dint want to disappoint the insts again. i am still very very amused when your usually soft voice becomes like SHOUTING when you are excited, like that time in the tailor shop, it was hilarious ! keep being a happy apple , dont let anything get you down (:

ECHO would have been nothing without you all ,
we might have been still cliquish , divided , we would never have been as together as we are.
which, if we were not , we would never have survived coals camp , never have emerged all winners from it .
we have learnt things about ourselves that we have never discovered before ,
found 9 great friends that we can keep forever, since we have been through so much together .
you have guided us through this whole journey,
even when you get fierce we know you mean well.
